Is, without a doubt, the most visited place on the island, this is the highest mountain peak in Spain (3718 metres), El Teide.
The volcanic activity in this area has formed some extraordinarily attractive and unique landscapes in this Protected Natural Park.
The territory occupied by this park starts from an altitude of 1,650 metres.
It is advisable, especially during the winter months, to take a coat. Sunglasses and a cap are advisable to protect us from the suns rays during the rest of the year.
Weather permitting we can set off from 2,356 up to 3,555 metres of altitude in the cable car. If we wish to walk to the summit (never to the base of the crater), we would have to apply for a permit.
Inside the park we find the visitors' centre, where we can get more information, also available are bar and restaurant services and a souvenir shop.
