It is an attractive path, the PR - TF 72, in South Tenerife, close to the Moon Landscape (Paisaje Lunar). The PR - TF 72 path forms part of the Chasna Way, a route that is over 500 years old, and it commences in Vilaflor village itself.The unique landscape provides beautiful company forth uphill start. The Canary pine groves, only found on the islands, still hide the tracks of travellers who crossed the peaks everyday to look for food. After about 6 km, the PR - TF 72 reaches a privileged vantage point, where you can contemplate the Moon Landscape in its full beauty. Previously access could only be gained to this area through the Madre del Agua track. Motorised vehicles are now prohibited on this track, and are subject to fines of between 100 and 1000 euros. The PR - TF 72 is signposted in accordance with European path standards (ERA), providing a guarantee of safety and quality. It also has complementary accessories, such as information boards, so you will enjoy your visit even more. Route information: Start and finish: Square in Vilaflor de Chasna. Length: about 13 kilometres. Average route time: 6-8 hours. Difficulty: medium-high.
